Media Biz Singapore was established in 2003 and has, in the short span 0f five years, since expanded beyond our horizons into the global world. Here at Media Biz Singapore, we strongly believe that efficiency is the key to success.
We are now looking for a broadcast journalist for Media Biz Channel. Candidates should at have the minimum qualification of a Diploma in Mass Communications (or other similar diplomas) will be expected to do the following:
- Follow leads from news agencies, the police, public and press conferences etc.
- Select appropriate locations, pictures, and sound exercising editorial judgment on the best angle to approach a story form
- Write scripts for bulletins, headlines and reports which adhere to legal and contractual guidelines
- Pitch ideas to editors and commissioners
- Research and collate evidence and information to support a story using relevant information sources
- Preparing and presenting material 'on air' for both pre-recorded and live pieces
- Identifying potential interviewees, briefing them, preparing interview questions and conducting both live and recorded interviews
Other skills and experience:
- Strong written and spoken English language skills
- Bilingual (able to converse fluently in Mandarin)
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good general knowledge
